Hey there,

Trying to compile SmaugFUSS on the newest Ubuntu. Everything is working fine, except the generating the dependencies. Here is my problem.

Generating dependency file ...
Can't do inplace edit on dependencies.d: Permission denied.
Done compiling mud.
make -s dns
Done compiling DNS resolver.

This seems more like an Ubuntu problem, but I'm not familiar enough to fix it. Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Problem has been solved.

Switching from VMware to virtualbox solved the problem with permissions. I was unable to set the permissions in VMware, no matter what I tried. Working through virtualbox, I had no problems at all.
