Apple Ends Support for QuickTime for Windows; New Vulnerabilities Announced

Solution?

Quote:

The only mitigation available is to uninstall QuickTime for Windows.

First you get millions of people using your product, and then drop it.

By the way, FFmpeg is a cross-platform suite of programs that play, interpret, and transcode videos and other media.

FFmpeg: A complete, cross-platform solution to record, convert and stream audio and video.

I've been using it for a while now. Depending on how it is compiled (if you compile it yourself) you can read pretty-much all video formats. The pre-compiled binaries might not handle all formats due to copyright issues.

With FFmpeg you can convert to and from GIF to MP4, MOV, AVI and various other containers and codecs. It also handles sound (eg, convert to or from MP3).
