| Alright, now MUSHclient is crashing a LOT. When I close a world, sometimes it crashes, but now its when I open a world, or after a few seconds of a world being open. How would I "debug" this to provide more info so we know what to do? |

| I know this must be frustrating, but it also must be environmental. That is, you are using the same MUSHclient that you used to use, and that everyone else uses, which doesn't crash.
It is like when you install a game which crashes, and it turns out that a video or sound driver is really to blame.
First, have you changed anything recently? New video card/sound card/ something else? Are you using scripting? Try turning it off, or downloading the latest script DLLs. Have you changed fonts? Have you changed the Winsock DLLs? Have you changed Windows versions? |

No, but I have been trying to upgrade it, with no success. But theses crashes happened before I tried.
Are you using scripting?
Nope.
Have you changed fonts?
Nope.
Have you changed the Winsock DLLs?
Never changed a DLL in my life, at least not on this computer.
Have you changed Windows versions?
Nope.
I have a screen shot of the crash, if it would help. I was MUDing, when I typed practice, and it went to display the results, and crashed. And yeah, finding out what is causing the crash could be impossible. There's too many variables to think of.
Some info on my computer would help a little.
OS: Windows XP
CPU: Pentium 4 1.60GHz
Video: 32MB ATI RAGE 128 Ultra
Memory: 256MB

| I doubt a screenshot will help.
Sometimes Windows seems to go into "unreliable" mode. I can only suggest upgrading or reinstalling (Windows). Not because I think MUSHclient needs it, but because somehing - who knows what - is crashing and bringing MUSHclient with it. A sound maybe? Too little memory? A corrupted DLL? A virus? Bad memory chip?
However try reinstalling MUSHclient. Maybe the .exe got corrupted. |

| Hmm, Windows version is the newest, almost. The only thing I'll try is reinstalling MUSHclient. Thanks. |
