I can't get any realm to work, I always get the 11004 error. Does your version of AOL affect the way the client works in any way?

If you have parental controls... umm, the anti-porn dialer ones.. It makes it hard for things (read: mushclient) to connect.
Its something about external applications, its in parental controls.. But, Id think that would give you a cannot resolve hostname, or timed out, or connection refused.

So, I dont think its that (especially if you dont have parental controls)

Well that error is related. It means: " The requested name is valid, but does not have an Internet IP address at the name server." This seems like a real strange error, but in theory it could mean that AOL is returning a message when you request a page that says that the site exists, but it is literally refusing to return the numberic IP needed to connect to it.

It's not strange at all, try connecting to like, anything.comm, it will tell you that there is no data record. Maybe you have misspelled the url? Try using just the IP address.

I've tried the URL and IP, niether work. I tried another client and it told me that I had no ports open? I'd like to stay with Mushclient but I can't figure it out. Also, I have no parental controls on.

It didn't work with a straight IP, and also not with another client? Sounds like a more serious problem than a MUSHclient error.

Possibly "no ports open" means you have run out of something on your PC - possibly a configuration issue.

Also possibly something is blocking you upstream.

I would try a totally different PC, if possible, to narrow the problem down to a particular PC.

I would suggest you all come read over here on some of these threads:

http://simplemu.onlineroleplay.com/board2k/UltraBoard.cgi?action=Headlines&BID=2

It's apparently the results of some kind of nasty new virus or something that caused it. There's links to some information buried in the posts on the topic.
