See above. When I make a timer to reconnect in an hour, it never fires... 0 calls on the script.

That is intentional. Most timers would be set up to send things to the MUD, which they can't do if you are not connected.

There is now an option to allow timers to run when disconnected. This is intended to let you write a "reconnect" script.
