MC seems to have a problem remembering where it was when shut down on a multi-monitor system. I have it positioned on screen 2 and when I restart it MC starts back on screen 1 instead of 2 where I want it.

Operating System? Video Card(s) (and drivers)? Whatever other nice details we'd need to even begin to start figuring this out.

Although, to be honest, (and while I dont have a dual monitor system to check it out currently) is this actually a bug?
Do other programs that youve left on a second screen start back up to that second screen?

For me it starts where I put it. You just have to do it once or twice I think. It didn't start one time, then the next time I moved it it stayed there.

Just tried it again now. It took two or three tries to happen. Maybe you should leave a world file open when you close the client, see if it works.

Sorry for the lack of details guys. I am using a ATI Radeon 9800 128mb with two Samsung SyncMaster 910T 19" flat pannels with the latest drivers from ATI. Both monitors are attached to the ATI, one to the Digital and one to the Analog.

With regard to other programs, yes other programs seem to remember where they are put.

I tried closing the program with the world open several times as suggested, but it did not stick to the second screen.

Any more questions I can answer?

Ah, it stopped working because you jynxed it.

It saves position on close. (Which is why if you close it via right click while minimized, you occasionally run into problems)

You could use the new function MoveMainWindow to reposition the main window at the startup of your first world.
