I've been watching the discussion on Lua lately, but since I no longer play MUDs much anymore, only admin for them, I have yet to try Lua out. But I was wondering, since I heard there are ways to communicate to other programs with MC... Would it be possible to have Trillian and MUSHclient communicate? Like for example, if I put up an away message on Trillian, it'll send "title is AFK" on MC. Trillian is at http://www.trillian.cc if you need to learn about it.
[EDIT] Errr, the other way around. MC to communicate with Trillian. Right? |

| You should be able to do that, with or without Lua, by using UDP packets, if Trillian supports that. |

| I've talked with those at Trillian, and it seems that there is no built-in function that would handle UDP, but a (Trillian) plugin would do the job. Would anyone else be interested in this? Requesting a plugin by myself would most likely not be approved. |
