I didnt realize this last night but I was making some changes and it wasnt saving my newly created characters I was making, I didnt think anything of it cuz I, for some unseen reason, thought that you had to physically type save for it to save them, well today when I adjust the save.c file to accomodate for my new stats and things and goto test it, it doesnt save, then I realize that its not even saving on creation like it did before, I dont know what I changed to cause this error, but any help or thoughts would be appreciated as a mud that doesnt save doesnt work too well...thanx

Hard to say, maybe somewhere in the save routine you inadvertently return before opening the file, or completely writing it?

Also... another thing to consider... by default, smaug dosnt save level 1 character by default... if you changed it so that users dont need to authenticate... or modifed the packaged area files, you need to make sure the character is at least level two... then try saving. If thats the case... Just edit the do_save function, and change the minimum level you need to save.

If that dont help, just tell me in detail the changes you made.
