| Hi there,
MUSHclient is really a great Mud client, and I love it and recommend it. However, one tiny thing for improving it. In the File drop down menu, it lists the most recently used worlds/files, and I haven't found a way of deleting them.
Could this be added to a future version?
In the meantime, I'm happy to edit a file by hand, if someone can tell me which to edit.
Many thanks,
Pli the Pishe

| It's stored in the registry under
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Gammon Software Solutions\MUSHclient\Recent File List
If you're not comfortable editing the registry... DON'T! Very Bad Things(tm) can happen if you goof in there, up to and including Windows no longer booting.

| Another way is to rename or move the world files, then try to open them from the MRU list. When it doesn't find the files, they are removed from the list. |

| Okay, I didn't touch the registry...
The 2nd solution wasn't IT-sophisticated, but worked nicely... Except that for some reason 1 file is
C:\Windows\explorer.exe - I won't rename that one. :)
Anyway, I can live with that one superfluous entry. :-)
Many thanks for your hard work on this MUD client, it's marvellous.

| A simple solution is this, make a "New Text Document" on your desktop, and then rename it to SOMETHING.reg. Right click it and choose Edit, in the notepad window paste the following...
Quote:Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Gammon Software Solutions\MUSHclient\Recent File List]
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Gammon Software Solutions\MUSHclient\Recent File List]
Save the file, and then in the future to remove the listings, while Mushclient is closed just double click on this particular .reg file, and it will remove the "Recent File List" section from the registry, which removes all keys located there, followed by it being recreated with no keys in it, which allows Mushclient to repopulate it, until of course you run the .reg again.
This will 100% work using XP of SP0 - SP3. Not sure if Vista compliant, and guarantee it will not work on 98, as it is not a 5.00 compliant registry system. However this one will work on 98.
Quote:REGEDIT4
[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Gammon Software Solutions\MUSHclient\Recent File List]
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Gammon Software Solutions\MUSHclient\Recent File List]
