I need help getting a connection via the 4.0.40 client

My issue is this. I have a LAN connection that needs to be maintained on my computer. But i have a wireless connection that i can use as its subordinate connection.
I need the MUSH client to utilize the telnet feature through this wireless connection without using the LAN connection i have on my computer. Reason being the LAN is through a proxy, and the proxy blocks all telnet traffic outside of the internal domain.

Any suggestions on establishing this telnet connection via my wireless connection rather than over the LAN connection?

I'm not sure I've seen that done. Which operating system are you using?
