Sounds like the folders aren't set up correctly.

You should have something like this:

   C:\
Program Files
 MUSHclient
  worlds
  plugins
   state

Sounds like the path is wrong in that plugin. For one thing, you might get away with omitting that include line altogether, as most of the plugins don't really use the constants.vbs file.

Or, check out global preferences, where you have the default world files directory, and the default plugins directory. Make sure that directory exists. Make sure that the files constants.vbs (etc.) from the install are really there and not somewhere else.

You might have found a problem with the install process, although you are the first to comment.

Hmm. Could be, some place in your files the path for mushclient is being defined as C:\Program Files\Mushclient and that the floppy version is looking in there for .\worlds\plugins\constants.vbs. In this case . is probably 'default program path' and not 'look starting where mushclient started from' as it is in some programs. Just because you can run it from a floppy, doesn't mean all parts of the program 'know' that you are trying to doing so. ;)

ive been using MUSHclient in windows 2000... and no prob with any thing, even after upgrade to 3.26.

but yesterday i went to a friends house and tried to show him how plugins work. got a bit disapointed cos when i tried to add some of the plugins include in the download files i got always the same error.

error in file D:\MUSHclient\worlds\plugins\scan.xml

line 37: .\worlds\plugins\constants.vbs contains an invalid path ( include file not loaded )

my friend uses windows XP and he didnt have internet connection at time so i installed MUSHclient from a floppy. dunno if the file got corrupted when i copy it to the floppy. in 1 or 2 days ill go back there and try it with a new install file to check if the probs is still there.

what ide like to know is if theres any reported probs using MUSHclient in windows XP.

ohh... the constants.vbs file was there when i checked. but the error was always there even when i used the plugins wizard to generate a new plugin. the sistem couldnt also find the state folder inside plugins folder when try to save changed info from plugin.
