It should look the same as when you do it in an editor.
Make sure you are using a fixed-width font in your client, eg FixedSys or Courier.

I don't understand what you mean by "shrink".
Is it a smaller font?
Are the letters too close together?
Does some text get omitted?
In any case these questions should really be in "running the server" section. This is not a question about how to compile the server.

The dates and times for posts above are shown in Universal Co-ordinated Time (UTC).
To show them in your local time you can join the forum, and then set the 'time correction' field in your profile to the number of hours difference between your location and UTC time.
