I think the version on the site (link above) is fairly recent. I added stuff since then to let people colourize their pages, but practically no-one uses it, so I wouldn't get too excited about it.
Has anymore work been done to the forum software? Will you be making a new package for release anytime soon?
Reason for asking is that I'm remaking the web site for my mud and was wanting to integrate a forum into the site, not just having a link to it. I like the forums here, not overly complex, easy to use, and it seems like it would be really easy to modify the layout.
I can do a new version on request really. The colour code is fairly stable, I am just adding in a bit more stuff to count recent views, as the number of views per day is actually somewhat larger than implied by the main page, as that counts the early days when the forum was not visited as often as now.
The fiddly bit is making sure the SQL commands create the tables correctly, as I gradually add new fields to them.
Oh, wow, that is indeed old. When do you planning on releasing another version Nick? Perhaps before you added the color options (since they seem to be experimental)? Or is the code before that basically the same as the 1.1?
I understand its not the most recent version, It probably doesn't have any of the color stuff, or other experimental stuff. Im just looking for something to poke around with.
Nick, the download seems to have disappeared. Mind pointing me in the right direction? The links in this forum (ftp://ftp.gammon.com.au/forum/forum_1.1.tgz) doesnt exist. Nor does it exist in your files folder. Am I missing some blatantly obvious link somewhere?
