Could you give a little more of the code, please? Given that that looks ok, it's probably a problem in nearby lines. Also, if you use the [code] tags, it makes it easier to read the code you post.

I was customizing SWR 1.0, I tried to compile using Cygwin, but an error ocurred. Cygwin read:

comm.c: In function 'nanny':
comm.c: 2076: error: parse error before "else"
make[1]: *** [o/comm.o] Error 1
make: *** [all] Error 2

The if statement that the error is in:
