I imagine you would have to edit the source and change the way it handles resets. How, I don't know. :)

Well so far I discovered this isn't only with keys its with any object. If you set it in the room property it will NOT regenerate if another player has that item.
Anyway to fix this horrible feature?

Hey,
Keys do not save after you log out, that's fine.
However if you set them to an assigned position (adding a key to the room) it
will stay there until a player takes it. Then when the player disposes it or
logs out, it will come back to that room upon a regen.
Now, there is a certain part of the object properties called 'limit' in area
editor. I tried to make it a higher number, however one key will exist in the area,
and one key only at a time.
This poses a problem, you see, because part of the completion of my newbie
area requires you to find a key and unlock a certain door. Other players cannot
proceed for as long as you have the key in your inventory. I tried making it
a bit less harsh by making the key automatically eaten when you unlock the door.
The biggest problem of all is that harassers found out about this and will login
to the mud, collect the key, and idle their character - meanwhile no other
characters can be created.
Is there a way that every regen the key will repear? I need some way to fix
this problem please.
