I am aware of that, but I find it hard to resist switching to that red button to see what has happened :P
but you are right, a sound is perhaps better to show activity.

You mean - flash the MUSHclient button on the Start bar?

You know you can set up a trigger to play a sound if inactive, I use that to be paged to the world if I have the MUD window at the back.
