Ok i see what I have to do now. Told you I was probably not looking hard enough ;) Just took a nap and I woke up and bang it made sense.

Anyways I never liked how Infrared just showed mobs and since I'm increasing the the duration of the days and nights as well making two handed weapons keep you from carrying a torch at the same time ass well. Thought that I would need to be able to see a little better than that so people don't walk by important clues in the room descriptions.

What exactly are you trying to do? Change infravision into night vision? What distinction are you drawing between the two?

Why were holylight and infrared not helpful?

I would like to replace the standard Infravision with real night vision and seeing in the dark. maybe leave the infravision for detecting invisbles.

Now here's the deal I can't find where they deal with vision in the code. Probably not looking hard enough but a point in the right direction would help.

Looked up holylight and infrared and got no help from either.
and searched these forums.

Tired of my questions yet?
