I'm guessing you are using Lua, although you didn't say. If so, each "if" needs an "end". You also seem to have thrown in a couple of extra quotes.

Like this:

if "@target" == "%1" then
   ColourNote("white", "green", "%1 is prone!!!")
end

ok I changed it to look like this

<trigger
custom_colour="17"
enabled="y"
expand_variables="y"
group="Highlights"
ignore_case="y"
match="^With a sudden convulsion, (\w+) collapses helplessly to the ground\.$"
regexp="y"
send_to="12"
sequence="100"
other_text_colour="lime"
>
<send>if "@target" == "%1" then "ColourNote("white", "green", "%1" is prone!!!")</send>

but it's not working

I also tried it as

<trigger
custom_colour="17"
enabled="y"
expand_variables="y"
group="Highlights"
ignore_case="y"
match="^With a sudden convulsion, (\w+) collapses helplessly to the ground\.$"
regexp="y"
send_to="12"
sequence="100"
other_text_colour="lime"
>
<send>if "@target" == "%1" then send "ColourNote("white", "green", "%1" is prone!!!")</send>

that too did not work

I tried it again with send and having the parenthesis at ("colornote and again after prone!!!"))

this to did not work on this one it

I am totally failing at this
