Try this. It seemed to work for me.:
[tagwrap(font,color="orange",This is Orange Text)]
Edit: And for THIS record, your problem is still happening on 1.8.4p4. But they're currently in the process of integrating 24-bit color into the hardcode, which will eliminate the need for using Pueblo for your super-custom colouring. Instead you should be able to do something like [ansi(<#10f3d9>,<#000000>,Text)]. It should be out this upcoming patchlevel or the next (7 or 8).
Here's the exact changelog entry from 1.8.4p5:
* ansi_string has been rewritten to be much faster for non-marked up strings, to take up considerably less memory, and has received general all-around improvements in speed. Rewrite is in preparation for 256 color and 24 bit color ansi. [GM]
This is really a question for the PennMUSH part of the forum (I'll move it). I haven't looked at the PennMUSH code for quite a while, I would ask on their forum and see if someone knows.
I've got a simple issue here: Is there a way to allow non-wizard players to use the expanded pueblo color tags?
For the record, the game is running an older version of PennMUSH (1.8.3, we last updated in 2008) and has Pueblo enabled.
If a Wiz character uses [tagwrap(color, orange,This Text Is Orange)] it works just fine. But if a non-wiz character uses it they get #-1 (and nothing else.)
Conversely, something like [tagwrap(B,This Text Is Bold)] will work for Wizards and non-wizards alike.
Does anybody have an idea how this could be fixed?
