Anyone know of a fix to Client problems? Some of my players are having problems loggin into the mud, using certain clients.. For Example: Telnet and Zmud are just a few -- They get to the enter name screen type it in.. then get disconnected... However, if they use Gmud, they log right in...

Weird huh? Yea I thought so too.. Any ideas???

Thanks,

Xyrex

Sounds like it might be a telnet negotiation problem. Some clients will send telnet sequences (eg. 'do you support MXP?').

If you have a coding bug in the part that handles that, then SMAUG will crash, but a simpler client that doesn't send such a sequence won't trigger the bug.
