| I am new to the client, as in, I downloaded it only 15 minutes ago. The installation went well, however, I am experiencing a few minor problems with my screen reader. I can't say whether it's a client, mud or reader side problem, so I hope someone can help me out. I can connect to the mud fine, but once connected, if I type in a command that displays any amount of text the reader then repeats the first few words of that display every time I press return from then on, regardless of the entry I am making. For example, if I type look, and the room is a gazebo in the meadow, and then type i [inventory], the reader will read off "gazebo You are carrying [x y], a gazebo" etc. It seems that the text is being read multiple times, perhaps because of some way I have the screen displaying the information. Any help would be greatly appreciated. | Top |

| It depends on how you have configured the screen reader. Did you use one of the screen reader plugins, and if so, which one?
One is available here:
http://mushclient.com/mushclient/plugins/sapi.xml
(RH click to save that link as a file, then install it as a plugin). |

| Me and tsp have coded a series of plugins that work with MushClient: One is for NVDA, jaws, window eyes, system access, and a better SAPI plugin. I think tsp has them on his site at www.allinaccess.com, not sure though.
if not, you can always find them on my alter aeon script pack though you'd have to download the whole thing which you can find at
http://oriolg.es/mush.exe
and, don't set your screen echo to all. | Top |

| In order to make this work optimally, You'll need a screen reader plugin. See my page at:
http://allinaccess.com/mc
for more info on that. I just updated the jfw plugin to hopefully work around a very annoying
bug in the most recent JAWS 11 update.
Once the plugin is successfully installed, mud output will read as
it comes in. Note that MUSHClient only processes complete lines, so you'll have to put a newline
after your prompt, or turn it off altogether. If you don't do this, the prompts will
be read as the next line arrives. | Top |
