I have recently upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 7, so this might be a question about the OS rather than MUSHclient and if so I apologize in advance.

The problem is that when I try to Open World inside MUSHclient, and browse to the worlds-directory of my fresh install of MUSHclient 4.43, I can see files in the Open-dialog that I cannot see using the Windows 7 file browser.

Before noticing this I copied a world-file from my old install to my new one, meaning there should be 1 file in there. That 1 file is all that the Windows 7 file browser shows, but the Open-dialog shows 3, the 1 file I copied, plus the 2 worlds which I've used recently, but haven't copied.

I cannot see(with the windows 7 file browser) these 2 recently used worlds in the worlds-directory of my old install anymore either. The MUSHclient Open-dialog shows them in the newly installed MUSHclient's worlds-directory, but no longer in the old install's.

I have checked and double-checked to make sure that the Windows 7 file browser shows hidden and system files.

When upgrading, I renamed my old MUSHclient-directory from "MUSHclient" to "MUSHclient4.37", then installed the new version in a new directory "MUSHclient", then proceeded to copy that one world mentioned above. I don't know if that is even related, but at this point I'm so utterly confused that I'm not ruling anything out.

Basically I no longer have any idea what's going on. Help? :)

Windows 7 hides them away for you. :)

Wow, that's very enlightening. I suspected something like this was going on, even browsed all the way into the AppData-directory, but I never would have thought to check the VirtualStore-directory.

Thanks Nick!
