By setting "omit from output" you are omitting the coloured line.
The "send to output" sends using the "note colour" - see the Scripts configuration tab for that. The simplest thing is just to change the note colour to what you want.
However if you want to keep the note colour the same, you could always run a small script that changes the note colour for the one line, like this:
sub OnNearDeath (strName, strLine, aryWildcards)
dim oldcolour
oldcolour = world.notecolour ' remember colour
world.notecolour = 7 ' change to custom colour 7
world.note "**** ND ND ND ND ND ****"
world.notecolour = oldcolour ' put colour back
end sub
You can also use notecolourRGB to set a foreground and background colour to whatever you want (eg. white on red). |

I understand what you are trying to do, I was just explaining why it didn't work. :)
If you don't want to script, just make two changes:
- Open the world configuration (Alt+Enter)
- Select Scripting -> Scripts
- Change "note colour" to (say) "Custom 9"
- Now select Appearance -> Custom Colour
- Change the colour selected above (say, 9) to the colour you want
- Close the configuration screen
Now your message will appear in the correct colour, no scripting needed. :) |
