Hi guys I have a problem connecting to Aardwolf on their ports the only unblocked monitered port i have at my varcity is 8118 is there a way i can forward Aardwolf's port through that maybe. And I did speak to my Network admin opening up ports is a no go.

Yes, but you'll have to do what's called "ssh tunneling" through an intermediate server that you own or have access to off campus that accepts connections on port 8118.

It may be in direct violation of the network use policies at your varsity. But MUDding is such a low bandwidth activity that if you actually go and talk to someone with a small amount of empathy and a large amount of sense they'll probably make an exception unless they have other reasons than preserving bandwidth. You could, of course, choose to take the alternate route of not asking for permission.

Would that be an HTTP proxy server? I doubt you can use that for Mudding.

You could always take a laptop and one of those cell-phone USB Internet thingies (whatever their name is, heh) for your game playing. With the low bandwidth that a MUD uses (and Aardwolf uses compression anyway) you probably would use up the allowance at a slow rate.
