cd ../area
$ ../src/smaug.exe
afet i typ this in this is what i get bash: ../src/smaug.exe: No such file or directory
im so lost and so new at this any help would be nice thanks

| ok got that prob taken care of any way got a new one after all is done i do cg ../area the ../src/smaug.exe well any way it workes great but when i got to the src folder cnad click on the smaug.exe gives me a popu error
errror smaug.exe inable to locate compmemt this aplication has failed to start becose cygwin1.dll was not found blabla bla any way i moved the cygwin1.dll to my src folder and it looks like it wants to start but it crashes any help would be nice | Top |

| You need to move the smaug.exe into the area directory. Will also need a copy of cygwin1.dll in the same folder. Then you can double-click the .exe and startup the mud. | Top |

| Or, copy the cygwin1.dll into your path somewhere, eg. \windows\system, so it can be found in all directories.
If you do this, remember to upgrade it if you upgrade Cygwin, however you need to remember that anyway if you put a copy into your area directory. |

| Any, literally ANY, text editor can be used to edit source files. On a winblows box Id recommend visiting liquidninja.com and downloading metapad as it will preserve the native formatting of *nix and dos based files. If you actually like notepad in winblows feel free to use it instead. |

| How are you compiling with gcc if you don't have Cygwin? Anyway, as Meerclar said, any editor (eg. notepad) will do it. |
