Hi folks - not sure if this is the right forum, but I have to start somewhere :)

I have been having an issue with my MUD not allowing players to practice styles of combat. Anything else they want to practice with their trainer seems to work ok, but the styles are apparently unknown to the trainers. Why is this?

Also - I have given my shopkeepers over 50K in gold each, but they still say they have'nt got enough gold to buy a $1000 item...

Woot, not often that i can go looking at a problem and solve it all, but this one i have. The problem lies in the skills table and that the practice mob your at does not know that skill.

Do a slookup for your fighting styles, i did this for evasive style and go this snippet of information ,

Teachers: 10340 3004

Now im guessing that those are vnums to the mobs that can practice you in that skill. Now this is yet another feature that i didnt know existed and one that i might acually play with.

As for the shop problem, I believe the mobs take the money out of the area economy. Check that.
