How do you change the message that you get when you die?
Is it a help file? If yes, which help file.

If no, tell me more, and does it require compiling?

You don't need to recompile. Check help NEW_DEATH and help _DIEMSG_.

Well, I suppose, but since he's trying to get it for everybody by default, seems more natural to have it be "automatic deadly status" or something like that. As long as we're changing the topic description, we might as well make it as accurate to his actual question as possible. He should have chosen a better topic than 'question', that much is for sure. :-)
