As odd as it may sound, I cannot make myself an immortal on my own game...
Don't look at me like I'm retarded yet, when I first compiled old-timezone based SMAUG I could easily, but I was looking for more of a futuristic game, so I downloaded SWR off this website.
I run a Windows XP Home Edition if that would change my results any.

You need to make a character, finish the academy, quit, and modify your pfile's toplevel field to 105. Or if its fuss, I beleive that there is an admin pfile, check that out too.

Thanks, it worked, start looking at me like I'm retarded because I obviously am.
Now for my next problem, anybody should be able to help me with this one.
I can't get it to let my friends in.

What error message are they/you getting? How/where is this running? If your running it on your home network behind a router, you may need to configure the router to port forward, there have been numerous posts about how to do that, check those and the router settings if thats the case.
