How do I go about resizing the window where I type in the text? With version 2, I could just click on a border and drag. Now, with version 3 the window is just this single line at the bottom, and when I click and drag, no matter how far I stretch it it just goes back to the same size.

Problem solved... Someone suggested that I close the world, save it, then re-open it again. For some reason, when I open a new world, I can't resize the input window. I can only do it when I close the world, save it, and open it again.

The same thing happened here. I had to close out my window and restart the world to get the line to be adjustable.
