Is there any way that a "search by author" selection could be implemented instead of just by topic or section? I now that you can look through the last 50 threads or so, but if you are looking for something by Nick Gammon or David Haley which was posted a few months ago, you're SOL. I have even had issues when looking for a topic I posted on, but could not remember what I named a thread (and my history goes back several months).

It is much easier to fight for one's ideals than to live up to them.

Yeah this would be nice. I tried using Google to search by author, but couldn't get it.

If you click on a person's Bio link, you can see their recent posts, and browse through that for stuff that might be relevant (admittedly, not a text search as such).

Also, you can use the Google search along these lines:

site:www.gammon.com.au/forum "David Haley" <what to search for>

- Nick Gammon

Either way still doesn't really work for what I'm looking for.

I want to examine my first few posts, to narrow down when I first started programming.
