Not sure if this is the right place to put this, but I'll try anyway. I am new to these forums. Anyway, I have SMAUG FUSS 1.9, and I was trying to add a snippet (mudmail), but I do not know how to add things into the file. I found the structure, struct pc_data, but, as I said I do not know how to put new data into the file.

(Sorry for the and signs. I was trying to display the text in the form that is used in Cygwin)

You can use [mono] to enter monospaced text.

As for your problem, you'll have to be a little more specific. Which step in the snippet is causing trouble?

Can you post what the snippet says to do and what needs to be inserted.

Just a guy having a bit of fun. Nothing more, nothing less, I do not need I WIN to feel validated.

Why can't you add stuff? Do you mean that you don't know where to add it, or you are somehow prevented from editing the file?

I think David's on the right track here, it sounds like he's saying he's got read/write permission issues, but I could also just be reading into it too much.
