Hello there faithful MUSH users!!!

Viva MUSH

So I just started working with the chat.xml Chat Plugin for private peer to peer chats....and it works great!!

BUT!

I also use the chat redirector plugin, to redirect my mud chat to a 2nd window.

The help I need is this:

Redirect the incoming chat from chat.xml so that it goes into my chat redirect world.

Now this is odd because they are both plugins and I could not figure this out on my own. (<--newbie)

Thank you all for the help,

Bummer

The chat redirector redirects stuff from the MUD, but chats from the chat plugins are from "world notes" not from the MUD.

This was covered a bit here:

There are probably other posts, search for "chat redirect".

You probably need to merge the functionality of the chat plugin with the redirector. Maybe someone has done that already, check the other posts first.

I looked around and don't see anything similar yet I came up with a valid alternate:

If I load the chat.xml into the dummy chat window, I would only need to make aliases in my main world window that would send my chat commands from my main world to the dummy world.

I did not see anything besides the multiple_send plugin, yet it was not picked up by the chat.xml plugin in the dummy window.

How can I send commands to the dummy window from the main window to be caught by the chat.xml loaded in dummy window?

Thank you,
Bummer

See this page.

Template:post=7991 Please see the forum thread: http://gammon.com.au/forum/?id=7991.

On that is an input-redirector plugin, that redirects input typed into one window to another.
