Exactly as it says in the title, sometimes mush decides to send "q" when I press "a", "a" when I press "q", "m" when I press ";", "(" when I press "5" and so on. Really, really, really, really annoying. Can't think of a particular situation that might cause this, but is happening constantly.

Does this happen in other programs? Do you have aliases set up? Is your keyboard dirty or suffering from liquid damage?

MUSHclient doesn't really spontaneously decide to rewrite keys, so chances are that something else is happening here.

I was thinking you might have changed your configured keyboard layout, but clearly you're posting here just fine.

Just throwing it out there, but maybe you're using a font that produces "unexpected" characters? An example would be Wingdings, where an "A" doesn't look anything like an A. It's extremely unlikely, but then I have no idea what else might cause this.

Sounds to me like you have changed your region code. Sometimes when testing other fonts I enable (say) French or Chinese or something. Then some combination of keys make the "language" symbol on the lower right corner (in my copy of Windows at least) change from EN to something else (eg. DE). It is around that time that the "wrong" letters start appearing. Try looking for that symbol, clicking on it, and changing it back to EN. Also try uninstalling extra languages if you don't need them.

I think that alt-shift is the binding to change the language, so make sure you're not pressing that by mistake.

Incidentally, the layout you described is extremely similar to the Azerty layout, so that lends plausibility to this theory.
