I noticed that when somoene uses the black color on ansi I can't see the text, I can't seem to figure out how to chance the black text to dark grey(so I can see the text) and keep the background black, is there a way to do this?

Ah yes, the black text on black background trick. :)

You can go into World configuration -> Appearance -> Output, and change two things ...

Under Custom Colours, change Custom16 background to grey (or some colour of your choice) by clicking on the right-hand button labelled '16'.

You might also change the foreground colour for 16 to white.

Then under "ANSI colour" check the box "Use custom colour 16 as the default".

After clicking OK for all that, the world will use grey as the background, but still use black when told to by the MUD. That should solve your problem.
