Crimson editor is a bit, outdated now days. The most 'recent' revision of it is Emerald Editor (http://www.emeraldeditor.com/).
If you want an actively developed coding/advanced text editor, I suggest SciTe (http://www.scintilla.org/SciTEDownload.html) or Notepad++ (http://notepad-plus-plus.org/).
