| I am looking for some smaug snippets, can you help-me?
My idea is to bring all possible sources of these codes here, not only find the ones I am after.
The first is the 2 billion vnums snippet.
The second is an old alias snippet (I think it is the same used in some CircleMuds), that can hold an array of commands.
The third is the command "donate" snippet. I don't remember where did I got that code.
There was a site called kyndig, that I think some of you remember, with tons of codes. It is out for some years now. It is possible to see some parts of this site here:
http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.kyndig.com
But it is not possible to see all files or download them. I hope someone have a backup somewhere. Do you know if is there any working website with these codes?
There is http://www.smaugmuds.org. Working fine, but just a few snippets.
There is this one:
http://smaugcodesnippets.blogspot.com/2008/07/snippet-summary.html
I did not download nor compiled any of them, but anyway..
Some old snippets here as well:
http://www.angelfire.com/va3/caenan/
None of the links that I tried in this page work, but I didn't tested them all:
http://zeno.biyg.org/~sbi/zy/page7.html
and there are other pages here:
http://zeno.biyg.org/~sbi/zy/
I am not trying to belittle this forum of ours, of course, for I think it is by far the best MUD forum, but I found this one as well, maybe there are some codes in there:
http://www.topmudsites.com/forums/mud-coding/
And there are some working links here:
http://www.mudconnect.com/resources/Mud_Resources:Mud_Code_and_Snippets.html
I am thinking about collecting these codes and make it available in a new website. But let's see what can I get...
Do you know any good sources of snippets, mods, patches and similars?
Cheers. | Top |

| Certainly nothing stopping anyone from uploading more Smaug snippets to SmaugMuds.org if they want to. Provided you have permission to actually do that of course. | Top |
