Is there an easy way to get MushClient to spawn off a new window from a world based on a string?

For example..I'd like to be able to separate channel spam from my main character window, and have it sent to another window. I also use logging, so I'd need to be able to log both windows.

I recently tried out SimpleMu and noticed that it has this built into the program, but I haven't been able to find a similar option on MC. Any ideas? Or maybe this is something that can be implemented in a future version?

Yes, you can set up a trigger (normal or regular expression). Lines matching the trigger can be sent to a different window.

Select "Send to" -> "Notepad (append)". The "send" text would be "%0" - the whole matching line.

The notepad window will be labelled with the trigger label. To omit the spam from the main window also check "omit from output".

This is a text window, not full colouring, however it should be adequate.

By turning logging on for the main world you would log everything. If you wanted to log the windows separately you need to go to a bit more work, using scripting.

However, one simple approach is to check "omit from log file" for the trigger, so the spam is not logged in the main log file, and then when you close the notepad window simply save it to disk, effectively keeping a log of that too.
