i got the message below when sending "skill" command

which should be in the format below...

is there any settings can correct this ?

ps.the "x" symbol stands for chinese (two "x" symbol for one chinese word)

What is in the xxxx? Perhaps the server is trying to align things by counting characters, and not allowing for UTF-8 symbols taking more than one byte.

I'm not sure you can read chinese or not, below is the original message.

The output will be ok if i'm using zMUD, but i don't like that software.

Because i think 1 Chinese character take 2 bytes, am i wrong? sorry for this horrible question...

Is there a tab character in there?

Can you please paste here a packet debug?

Go the the Edit menu and check "Debug Packets".

Then get the skill list.

Turn Debug Packets off again or the program will eventually go slow.

Switch to the window with the packet information in it, and copy and paste it here.

I don't think so, i copy the skill list to EditPlus for checking the spacing symbol which shows all of them are "space".

I'm using the Traditional Chinese font "MingLiu". I hope the link below can give you some information about "MingLiu".

Well I finally worked out what was going on... :)

I wasted a lot of time trying to get the Unicode characters to display, until I realized it isn't Unicode. It is just encoded using a Chinese character code page.

The reason it lines up in zMud is because the MUD is sending down cursor addressing, namely (for example):


Esc [24;55H

That is, move the cursor to column 55 of line 24.

MUSHclient does not support cursor addressing for various reasons. One main one is that it isn't really easy or meaningful to get the line in parts (eg. column 20 to 30, then columns 5 to 7).

If it really bothers you, you could make a trigger that matches those lines, eg.
