I have gone through your details about the power saving options in the Arduino Platform. I wanted to know how have you measured the current. Have u used software and some measuring device or you have used multimeter. Can u share the circuit which you have used to measure the current.

I just used a multimeter. For the low current measuring I used Dave Jones' uCurrent device (pictured on the page about power saving).

How did you use the multimeter. Did you plug the postive terminal of the multimeter to the positive end of the battery and the negative terminal to the ground of Arduino ? Can you explain a little bit about the circuit that you used ?
