Greetings,

I'm using mushclient with Jaws 13, and Mush Reader. Everythings works wonderful, but, sometimes the reader reads some lines continously. I found out that it must be because of colors, or the fonts. I was wondering, if I could force all the text to be converted in black with a standard font, and if yes, how?

What do you mean "continuously"? It repeats the same line indefinitely? That shouldn't happen.

Can you give a link to "Mush Reader"? I'm not familiar with that.

The standard screen reader uses a callback from MUD output which is done after colours are processed. In effect, it gets the "colour-free" (text) version of the line.

There is a plugin that comes with MUSHclient called "SAPI". That is a screen-reader. It may not be as sophisticated as MUSH reader, but maybe it will help.

The plugin is called tts_jfw, and it is a plugin for jaws.
I mean, some lines, like "Obvious exits north, south, east" are repeated when you tap enter, or other commands. It happens with all text that are an other color, they are repeated until they get out of the screen

It certainly shouldn't do that. Possibly you have some plugin that is omitting lines, then adding them back. The screen-reader might then see those lines again.

Please provide a summary of your world configuration:

  • Either use the scripting Immediate window (Ctrl+I) to execute: Debug ("summary")

    or

  • Install the Summary plugin (see "Summary" feature) and type "summary"

Then copy the resulting information from the output window, and paste into a Forum message.

You need version 4.55 onwards of MUSHclient to do this.

Try using the SAPI plugin instead. See if that makes a difference. Also try disabling all triggers, maybe one of them is somehow doing it.

There is one checkbox in the trigger configuration dialog box that will do that.
