I am in the process of creating all of the objects for my area, and the version of smaug i am writing for has level limits on objects (unless you are the objects level or greater, you can only hold the item in yer inv, and it deletes when logging off with it.) I was wondering if there are level ranges for objects in area editor? if so, how do i set them? something along the lines of a min level, and max level.

There are not specific level ranges for objects, however in the configuration file you can set the maximum value for levels in general, like this:

#GENERAL
maxlevel 65
