I play on a text/rp based world... and for some reason, whenever I try to use the command history, it doesn't work. I restarted the client, it works for a few lines, then it stops again. did I mess up a setting or something somewhere? Its supposed to keep 1k worth of history. It works for a bit, then doesn't.

Can you clarify for us what you mean by "try to use" and "doesn't work"?

What are you doing, what is the expected result, and what is happening instead?

Ah sorry, left it a bit vague. I'll type something into chat. Mostly just testing posts and such... but when I hit the up arrow on my keypad, it doesn't scroll through my commands. It shows nothing in the input/command history. I would expect there would be something in the command history. speaking, posting, that sort of thing. There's nothing.

It seems probably that the MUD sent down a "hide input" command when you typed your password, and that never got cancelled. Passwords are not saved in the command history.

See http://www.gammon.com.au/forum/?id=9428 to see if that helps.
