| A friend is using version 4.98m I believe, of MUSHClient, and is having trouble with their logging.
The list of logs are showing up 'within' mushclient, IE: in the configuration, under the logging they have a listing of the logs that it has made, but when they go to the directory specified to hold logs (ex: Mushclient/logs/<world>/ ... there's nothing there, even though the "save logs to" space lists THAT directory.
They're a little upset because they can't retrieve/view the logs anywhere but from within mushclient, and it seems that some of the logs are missing from there as well.
I had the same problem years ago, but don't recall what I did to fix it.

Right now, your friend will have to go look in a different place than they think (described in the link).
Longer term, you can also tell your friend to move MUSHclient to a non-protected folder like the Desktop or My Documents. |

One technique to get at an old log file would be to open it inside MUSHclient, and then "save as" somewhere else, like your Documents directory.
The longer-term solution is to install MUSHclient somewhere else, as Fiendish suggested. These days I install it under "Documents". |

| That fixed it. we moved it to another folder (think she put it in her documents folder), and, with the link provided by Fiendish, I managed to show her how to get her other logs (including a pivotal step/change for both character and player.)
