So, I randomly started getting 1 or 2 popup(s) when closing one particular world/character file...

The first one is: "World Internal variables (only) have changed.

Save changes to D:\LIBRARIES\Documents\MUSHClient\worlds\<Game>.MCL"

the other one was telling me that the directory D:\LIBRARIES\Documents\MUSHclient\Worlds\plugins\save doesn't exist, and/or wants me to point it to it, throws up a directory tree with plugins\save CLEARLY listed...

when I go into it through file explorer and open the properties of the folder, it says its read only, even when I clear it and save it, next time I look, even if it's immediately after doing this, its once again set to read only.

I can't recall if it started before or after I added and was running the calendar plugin, which I have ended and uninstalled since then, but it still is giving me the World Internal variables (only) have changed, save changes to world file"

The message about world internal variables is not to do with plugins, but the variables seen in the Configuration -> Variables window.

Something must be changing them. There is a global option to not worry about that, go to: File -> Global Preferences -> Closing -> "Offer to save world if only variables have changed". Uncheck that.

I don't know about your second issue, except that if the folder is read-only for some reason, that might be the cause.
