| I've been wondering why I keep having to add the same words to the spell checker everytime I do an upgrade from one version to the next. Just for "giggles" I opened the "Spell" directory in the newly installed MUSHclient and checked the file dates.. The date on the "userdic.tlx" was from sometime in September of last year. The date on the "accent.tlx" file was updated a few moments ago when I added another word to it. It appears the "userdic.tlx" isn't the file any new word are being added to.

| I found this on the Wintertree web site - I think it explains things ...
What are the userdic.tlx, correct.tlx, ssceam.tlx, and accent.tlx files listed in the Add Words To list in the Spelling properties page?
These files are user dictionaries:
- userdic.tlx: General-purpose user dictionary. We recommend that you select the user dictionary in the Add Words To list so words will be added to it when you click the Add button in the Grammar and Spelling dialog.
- correct.tlx: This dictionary contains several hundred common misspellings and their corrections. We recommend that you do not change this file.
- ssceam.tlx: This file is part of the main dictionary, and is automatically opened by Grammar Expert Plus. You should not open or edit this file.
- accent.tlx: This dictionary contains words containing accented characters (such as cliché) commonly used in English. We recommend that you do not change this file.
It seems that if you add userdic.tlx to the list of dictionaries your problems will be over. :)
