Alright, well, let me flesh out my idea here a bit. First off, I'm thinking of starting a project. Basically I'm looking for some coders (with experience) that will work with me to modify SWR 1.0 FUSS (thanks for FUSS Samson). There are four ways we can do this:

1) We all decide what we think should be put in and taken out and all work to get that done. Add things, w/e. Then, take that and all go our own ways, turning that into what we want.

2) Think up a suitable long term project that we would all be interested in. Then we can all work togeather on it.

3) Basically #1, but then anyone who wants to stick with the idea I've come up with can help me with it. The idea (right off) is basically to take SWR 1.0 FUSS and turn it into a Zoids Mud because I know a lot of people that have been wanting to play one and there aren't very many, if any at all out there.

4) Take whichever codebase we wan't to use and turn it into our own version and perhaps release it publicly, kind of like what the Smaug Team did.

Anyone interested in something listed above, e-mail me at huhahua@yahoo.com. If you are interested in #3, e-mail me because I've already got some ideas for it.

I'm starting from a fresh codebase (but was thinking of using SWFotE:FUSS rather than stock SWR). I'd be happy to share with you any stock improvements I make to the code and vice versa. However, I'm not sure about a Zoids codebase, because I don't know what Zoids is.

Zoids is an anime series. Basically its like battle mechs. You get a zoid, or rather, a big machine with weapons (guns, blades, etc.) that resembles an animal.
