Nick, reading through the linux stuff. As the installer doesn't work in wine, one is supposed to use a zipped MUSHclient folder, placing it in the fake windows\Program Files directory. Would it be possible to offer a tgz of one for us linux users without a windows install to get it from? =)

Ray

EDIT: The installer worked with winex cvs. It sat there for a while when it was supposed to start copying files. I minimized it and did some other things, came back five minutes later and installation was complete. One issue I have now is that every command/newline I enter prints out

You only get that message immediately after connecting, and as it is saying (apart from the unregistered message) "--- Connected on Tuesday, June 08, 2004, 1:48 AM ---" it sounds like it is not properly connecting, or not staying connected.

Are you connecting to an active MUD? If you connect to something that doesn't recognise MUD commands it may connect, and then immediately disconnect, thus giving those symptoms.

I have tested it (under Wine) unregistered and I only get the "connected" message once, followed by the normal MUD welcome screen.
