I appreciate the functionality and abilities that Mushclient gives to it's medium to advanced users. However I still find the notepad windows, and infobar very lacking in a few ways.

1) Infobar is dockable, but if you mess up it's size/shape you can get in real trouble in trying to restore it, and you can only have one.

2) Notepad windows are one color and one color only, sure you can change that color, and it's background, but it effects the whole window.

3) The lack of the ability to create an infinite number of dockable or insertable windows. Yes, I know you can create a bunch of notepad windows and work out the math to place them beside or above, etc the world, but that is annoying, and hardly seems worth doing when you know there has got to be an easier way.

See an example (photoshopped together from an existing client out there that I won't mention and Mushclient) of a dockable window, with colour, I would love to see in Mushclient (again, maybe this is something for v4?).

If it's worth anything, I second this suggestion.

Yes, I agree...beeing able to create extra windows (that does not receive mud output but can be used to write too from scripts etc.) would be very usefull.
It would be a step on the way for me to be able to separate tells and narrates and other form of communication into a separate window so it doesn't spam my main window while I'm in combat.
Once that is added, I only have to hope that the annoying 'Omit from output'-disables-any-output-even-from-scripts "feature" is fixed.
I would then be able to gag the communications in the main mu* window and write the communication in a separate window.

Cheers.

You already can create separate windows, position them, and write text to them. The suggestion here is to allow dockable windows that also support colored text. Many of us are looking for additional capabilities in trying to make status windows or channel capture displays.

Yes, I did read the post, I did see that one could use notepad windows.
When combining all the communications in one window, I too want to use colours to make it easier to distinguish the different sorts.

Cheers.

I have made a window that supports colours/fonts/transparency/etc, but it's not dockable. It's somewhere in the forum, search for "External MUclient window"
