| hi
I would like to be able to speedwalk and use the mapper on the MUD i play but there is a delay on how fast you can walk around. i know that i need the speedwalkdelay option which i read was included in MUSHclient in 3.03.
i just need someone to talk me through making it work. i have no programming knowledge and no real need to script anything else for my MUD. thanks. | top |

| In the world configuration screen, go to Input -> Commands.
You will see a box "speed walking - delay". Put in the number of milliseconds (thousandsth of a second) that you want between speedwalk commands.
For example, 1000 would be a one-second delay, 500 would be half-a-second.
Then when you do a speed walk, the speed walk directions will be sent at that rate.
You can make aliases that send speed walks (check the speed walk box), so if you often go somewhere (the food shop for example), you can make an alias (say, "shop") that send the appropriate speed walk commands to take you there.

| I want to say thanks for this knowledge. Too many times have I had to break up long speedwalks due to system crashes, but this is definitely a great help. A very big oversight on my part, as well. | top |
