| This is an amateur question, I know it.
Is there a way to create a trigger that will disable, or uncheck if you will, an active timer?
For the sake of simplicity say I have a timer set to 'save' every thirty seconds, and I want it to stop saving when I see a certain room description.
Better yet, is there a guide anywhere to writing triggers and scripts for MUSHclient, that is a wee bit more dumbed-down than the help files? | Top |

You need to send it to script, and it will vary depending on what language you are using, but it shouldn't be terribly hard to figure out. Just name your timer, and you should be good to go.
And as for everything else... http://www.gammon.com.au/forum/bbshowpost.php?bbsubject_id=6030 is a great set of posts by Nick showing the basics of scripting. There are also links on there for other relevant topics.
The "search" button on the top of the screen is a great tool. You sometimes have to filter through some irrelevant posts, but it's more than likely that someone has asked your question before and it's been answered. |
